Barco F70 Series – proiettori per le applicazioni di simulazione

Barco partecipa all’annuale evento I/ITSEC (Orlando, Florida) mettendo in mostra le sue soluzioni dedicate ai sistemi di simulazione, e presenta una nuova serie di proiettori DLP con illuminazione laser/fosforo, progettati per impieghi 24/7 e fino a 60mila ore di utilizzo.

I nuovi proiettori Barco F70-4K6C e F70-W6C sono stati progettati specificatamente per rispondere ai requisiti specifici del mercato della simulazione, andando quindi oltre alle caratteristiche generiche dei proiettori da installazione. Questo a partire dalla robustezza dell’involucro e dell’intera struttura, capace di sopportare i movimenti rapidi e improvvisi delle piattaforme dei simulatori.

Barco F70-4K6C - proiettore laser/fosforo 4K UHD per simulazione

Vediamo quali sono le principali caratteristiche dei due nuovi proiettori Barco:

  • F70-4K6C
    • risoluzione: 3.840 x 2.400 (4K UHD) / 2.560 x 1.600 (nativo)
    • luminosità: 5.000 lumen
    • tecnologia Barco SSP (Single Step Processing) – ogni elaborazione dell’immagine 4K UHD (inclusi warp, blend, gamma e colore) vengono calcolate in una singola operazione, consentendo una qualità generale più elevata, con maggiore nitidezza, minori anomalie e latenza ridotta
  • F70-W6C
    • risoluzione: 1.920 x 1.200 (WUXGA)
    • luminosità: 5.500 lumen
  • contrasto: 1.800:1 sequenziale, 50.000:1 dinamico
  • aspect-ratio: 16:10
  • IR per applicazioni NVG (Night Vision Goggle)
  • 3D attivo stereoscopico

Barco redefines the limits of reality with new 4K UHD laser phosphor projector for simulation

Barco, a global leader in simulation projectors, proudly announces the introduction of its F70 series. Specially built for the simulation market, the laser phosphor-based F70 range addresses this market’s specific requirements. With 4K UHD resolution, higher brightness, longer lifetime and dedicated design features, the F70 family of simulation projectors is the most advanced on the market today.
Many projectors currently offered to the simulation market are general purpose models that are used for other applications as well – including theme parks, museums, and even corporate meeting rooms. However, simulators demand projectors with special requirements, including high robustness, longer lifetime, and laser-sharp image quality. Projectors that do not meet these demands don’t last long or require frequent and expensive maintenance. Especially designed with these requirements in mind, Barco’s F70 series enables customers to focus on the mission at hand.

Built for motion platforms and 24/7 use

A motion platform’s rapid and sudden movements are a significant challenge to projectors. Fitted with protective metal encasing the entire projector, Barco’s F70 is robust enough to withstand these harsh conditions, making it the perfect choice for motion platform mounting. With a lifetime of up to 60,000 hours (depending on the mode of operation), the F70 is one of the most durable projectors on the market and is ready for service in the most demanding simulation environments – including 24/7 mode.

The F70 is designed for performance and reliability. With the Constant Light Output (CLO®) functionality, the projector produces constant brightness and color over an extended period of time. And thanks to Barco’s unique and proprietary Single Step Processing (SSP®) technology, all image processing for 4K UHD − including warp, blend, gamma and color − is calculated in a single operation. Performing this procedure in just a single step produces a much higher overall image quality, with a sharper image and fewer artifacts and less latency.

The design of the F70 also takes into account the mounting requirements and suite of lenses of our highly successful F3x series − including the FL and FS models − making the F70 the perfect choice for technology upgrade decisions.

Brighter and better

With brightness levels in simulation configurations of up to 5,000 lumens, the F70 is one of the brightest single-chip DLP projectors on the market with 4K UHD resolution. This means that, along with minute details, you also have the matching brightness to see every single aspect of the simulation scene in absolute clarity. Additionally, with a brightness budget of up to 5,000 lumens, you have great flexibility in using any excess brightness to extend the lifetime of the illumination or to adjust the contrast levels to match the application’s requirement.

Features especially designed for simulation include smear reduction (improving the image in a high-speed setting), and the dual input WQXGA @120 Hz (allowing either 3D stereoscopy, High Frame Rate, or dual input IR and RGB content). In addition to the F70, there is also the dedicated FS70, which features enhanced IR goggle stimulation through a dedicated IR illumination source.
